Read a Recipe for Literacy does life-changing work, but we don’t accomplish it alone.

It’s our partners that help us take learning into the community, where children and adults can gain a whole new perspective on their surroundings. Every session includes partner involvement, writing, and reading related to that activity.  For example, RLL children went to Riverbend Park in Jupiter, FL wearing pedometers to monitor their walk while they learned about the indigenous plants and trees. The children participated in individual and team writing projects right there in the park.  Speakers – our partners – share their life stories and inspire our children: an oyster farmer, authors, a physical therapist, a honeybee keeper, and many others. The children have written poems, stories, and other creative pieces about what they have learned from RLL.  In every case, our partners’ support was essential. We thank the organizations below for all they do to make our programs rich and engaging. We simply couldn’t do it without you.
